Constants in Java





  • Constants are named locations in memory that are used to hold a value that cannot be modified by the program.
  • Constants remain unchanged during the execution of a program.
  • final keyword is used to declare constant in Java.

    Syntax :

    final data-type identifier = value;

    e.g.

    final float PI = 3.14F;

  • It a coding convention to use uppercase for constants.
